$30,000 SIGN-ON BONUS!  CRNA's - Experienced and New Graduates!

\n

\n Administers intravenous, inhalation, and regional anesthetics to render persons insensible to pain during surgical procedures, obstetrical deliveries, or other medical and dental procedures. Potentially administers anesthesia to all ages and A.S.A. classes of patients, including geriatrics and pediatrics. Provides airway management services as needed throughout the hospital.

No night shifts but a mix of 8, 10, and 12 hr shifts. Limited weekend needs. 

\n

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

\n

People:
\n 1. Provides leadership in the professional practice setting.
\n 2. Supports and contributes to the professional development of peers and colleagues.
\n 3. Delegates tasks to assistive personnel in a respectful professional manner.
\n 4. Identify patient problem and collaborates with the Anesthesia / Surgeon /
\n Perioperative team in the selection of appropriate interventions (tasks).
\n 5. Interacts with members of the health care team to plan and coordinate the
\n perioperative care.
\n 6. Promotes a healthy work environment through promotion of professional
\n communication standards, commitment to co-workers, and positive problem
\n resolution.

\n

Service:
\n 1. Conducts appropriate pre-anesthetic assessments, and document findings.
\n 2. In collaboration with the anesthesiologist, determines the appropriate anesthetic plan
\n of management, manages all aspects of anesthesia care to include preoperative,
\n perioperative, and immediate postoperative care.
\n 3. Maintains complete and accurate documentation of care for all procedures.
\n 4. Provides airway management and/or intubations for emergent, non-emergent, and
\n resuscitation situations throughout the hospital.
\n 5. Anticipates and exceeds patients and customers expectations that meet all
\n elements of the Henry Ford Experience.
\n 6. Identifies services and care improvement ideas and act on them to create excellent
\n customer experiences.
\n 7. Demonstrates, supports, and assumes personal accountability for consistently
\n upholding team members to the standards across the System and adhering to Henry
\n Ford Health policies and procedures.
\n 8. Recognizes the unique contribution all health care team members contribute to the
\n patient experience.
\n 9. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education/Experience Required:
\n Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
\n Graduation from an accredited school of anesthesia.
\n Masters degree required.
\n Ability to work harmoniously in collaborative situations with anesthesiologists and
\n other health care providers.

\n

Certifications/Licensures Required:
\n Required and maintains currency of:
\n Clinical Privileges
\n State of Michigan RN License
\n State Specialty Certification
\n CRNA Certification
\n ALS Certification

Physical Demands/Working Conditions:
\n Frequent walking, bending, lifting may be required to perform duties. Work is generally
\n in an operating room environment, but can be in Radiology, ICU, ER, or wherever nurse
\n anesthesia services are required in the hospital. Working conditions are variable with
\n exposure to communicable diseases and other hazards. Driving may be required,
\n dependent on specialty.
