IT Auditor

An IT Internal Auditor evaluates the security, integrity, and efficiency of an organization's information technology infrastructure and systems. They design and execute testing procedures over IT General Controls (ITGCs), application controls, system access, data governance, and cybersecurity frameworks. By identifying technical vulnerabilities and segregation of duties (SoD) conflicts, they ensure that critical business applications remain secure, reliable, and compliant with relevant regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

• Test IT General Controls (ITGCs): Evaluate system security, user access provisioning, change management procedures, and IT operations across critical business applications and databases.
• Assess Application & Configured Controls: Validate automated system configurations (e.g., testing that the ERP automatically blocks duplicate invoices or enforces three-way matching thresholds).
• Analyze Segregation of Duties (SoD): Perform user access reviews to identify and report high-risk conflicts where a single user has excessive system privileges (e.g., ability to both create a vendor and process a payment).
Draft Audit Reports & Recommendations: Formulate clear, evidence-based audit findings and partner with management to develop actionable remediation plans.
• Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold the firm's respectful and courteous work environment.

Qualifications:


• Minimum of one year of professional experience preferably in any of the following areas: internal or external IT audit, Modern ERP packages (SAP, Oracle, Workday, etc.), risk assessment, business processes, project management, IT Operations, and/or IT strategy) within multiple industries
• Bachelor's degree in an appropriate field from an accredited college/university preferred
• CPA or CISA candidate is preferred
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to gain the confidence and respect of senior level executives
