Electrical and instrumentation technician

job summary:
Leading manufacturer of products used in food ingredient facility is in search of an experienced Electrical and Instrumentation Technician within the greater Memphis TN area. We are seeking candidates with 3-5 years of installation, calibrating, and troubleshooting process control equipment, focusing heavily on specialized analytical probes and flow meters within a food manufacturing or industrial environment. A technical degree and training is highly preferred.

This position is hourly ranging from $30-$35/hr depending upon experience + OT. Position is 12 hour shifts - M-F basis (4 days on 4 days off) or 5 -10 hour days. Company offers excellent benefits and company culture. Please apply today!

responsibilities:

• Focus on maintaining, calibrating, and troubleshooting electrical and instrumentation systems, including PLC'S, DCS, Motors, Valves and other equipment used in yeast fermentation and processing.
  
  
  
• Install, maintain, repair, and calibrate instruments, controls, and electrical equipment within the yeast production facility.

• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical and instrumentation problems, identifying root causes and implementing solutions.

• Work with process control systems to ensure optimal process performance and safety.

• Calibrate and test instruments and equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, calibrations, and repairs.
  
  
  
• Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations, including those related to electrical work and confined spaces.
  
  
  
• Work closely with other departments, including engineering, maintenance, and production, to ensure smooth operations.

• Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reliability.
