Make a meaningful impact supporting students as a physical therapist in a dynamic school setting for the 2026-2027 academic year. This contract position provides the opportunity to work closely with preschool and school-aged children, contributing to their physical development across multiple locations within Bucks County. Key Qualifications:
- Active state licensure as a Physical Therapist, meeting all state requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with preschool-aged children
- Prior school-based PT experience highly valued
- Ability to provide in-person services exclusively (remote or hybrid not available)
- Willingness to cover multiple sites, with primary focus in the Newtown area and one day/week in Morrisville/Pennsbury
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group-based physical therapy services to students following prescribed IEPs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including teachers, administrators, and families
- Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans to enhance student participation and physical function in the school environment
- Maintain thorough documentation and progress monitoring in compliance with district and legal standards
- Travel between coverage areas as needed
This contract offers a flexible commitment of approximately 3-4 days per week (21-28 hours), making it ideal for professionals seeking work/life balance while making a difference in a school community. The assignment runs from late August 2026 through June 2027, with the potential to extend into the summer months.
