Job Overview Job Type: Regular; Location: Best Buy 446 - Waldorf, MD 20603; Part‑Time HP Retail Sales Associate; Pay: $18.00 per hour; Schedule: Up to 15 hours per week, Saturday and Sunday preferred, flexible Friday options may be available based on location needs. Responsibilities Sell products and services in a retail store, kiosk, and/or event environments. Maintain professional interaction with customers and fellow employees. Meet or exceed personal sales goals on a monthly basis. Courteously welcome customers and offer assistance. Direct customers by escorting them to displays, assess needs, and suggest products that fit those needs. Advise customers by providing information on products and services. Help customers make selections by building customer confidence. Accurately document and report sales. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Track and communicate all activity to Retail Operations. Ensure workstation/kiosk is clean, well‑organized, functional, and presentable at all times. Submit all paperwork completely and accurately. Demonstrate HP products at BestBuy. Engage and build rapport with customers by creating a memorable experience. Maintain professional relationships with management and staff within the assigned store. Train retail store associates on HP products and services. Maintain displays for cleanliness, functionality, and demo‑readiness. Provide reporting and competitive insights. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum one‑year job experience; six months of prior sales, retail, telecom or marketing experience also preferred. Problem‑solving, tech‑savvy enthusiast with an outgoing personality and eagerness to learn. Comfortable engaging with customers and demonstrating products with training. Ability to engage in a selling process that overcomes objections and connects with customer needs. Retail experience or customer service experience in electronics, tech or wireless a plus. Training or product demonstration experience a plus. Excellent communications, presentation, interpersonal and problem‑solving skills. Impeccable integrity and commitment to customer satisfaction. Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced, team environment. Availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed. Ability to maintain customer confidentiality.
