We are seeking a highly organized, observant, and quick-thinking Food Runner / Expediter to be the vital link between our talented kitchen and our hungry guests. What You'll Do (and become a pro at!): As our Food Runner / Expediter, you'll be the conductor of our breakfast symphony, ensuring every dish is a masterpiece and every order reaches the right table, hot and fresh. Your key responsibilities will include: The "Final Check": Acting as the last line of defense for quality control, you'll meticulously check each plate for accuracy, presentation, and temperature before it leaves the kitchen. Orchestrating the Orders: You'll organize and prioritize dishes coming off the line, ensuring that complete orders are sent out together in a timely manner. Speedy Delivery: Efficiently and safely running hot and cold food items from the kitchen to the correct tables in the dining room, often navigating a busy floor. Communicating is Key: Being the direct line of communication between the kitchen staff and the front-of-house team. You'll relay important information about dietary restrictions, special requests, and timing of orders. Set for Success: Assisting with plating, adding garnishes, and ensuring all necessary condiments or utensils accompany each dish. Keeping it Clean: Maintaining a clean and organized expo line and pass-through area, helping with light cleaning duties as needed. Team Collaboration: Working seamlessly with restaurant leadership, cooks, servers, and bussers to ensure a smooth and efficient service flow. Exceptional attention to detail: You're keen-eyed and won't let a missing garnish or incorrect side go unnoticed. Strong organizational skills: You can manage multiple orders and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills: You can clearly and effectively communicate with both kitchen and front-of-house teams. Ability to work under pressure: You thrive in a high-energy setting and can maintain composure during busy rushes. Physical stamina: You're comfortable bending, standing, walking, and carrying plates of food for extended periods. A positive attitude and a team-player mentality! You're ready to jump in and support wherever needed. Reliability: Punctual, dependable, and ready to contribute to each shift. Prior experience as a food runner, expediter, or in a similar restaurant role is a plus, but not required! We're willing to train a motivated individual with the right attitude.
