Licensing Analyst Job Description I. JOB SUMMARY: Under the direction of the licensing manager, processes mortgage loan originator licenses, validates education requirements and coordinates education and exams, according to State and Federal licensing requirements. Process must adhere to the Safe Act and company policies and procedures to ensure licensing compliance for specific origination territories. II. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Processes company, branch, and loan originator applications through NMLS system. Updates loan originator reporting, monitors renewals, transitions and expirations. Stays abreast of licensing, education and exam requirements. Assists manager with the coordination and communication of education and exam requirements; assigns education and exams for loan originators. Apply for branch business license (city/county) when applicable. Manage renewal of branch business license when applicable. Communicates timelines. Assists manager with corporate licensing and bonding. Assists manager with presentation packages, filing, forms and administrative support. Maintains a professional image and adheres to standards consistent with company policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned. III. JOB REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or 2-5 years of experience equivalent. Must have a working knowledge of branch and loan originator state licensing requirements. Must have working knowledge of the National Mortgage Licensing System. (NMLS) Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with branch and loan originators regarding education guidelines. Demonstrated judgment and decision making ability. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Excellent PC skills, including word processing and spreadsheets, with the ability to learn other mortgage-related programs. Must be available to work all regularly scheduled hours; arriving at scheduled reporting time and at the prescribed time after any breaks or lunch periods.
