Behavior Technician – Pediatric Behaviour Solutions Kona Medical Consulting is currently looking for a Behavior Technician in the Dearborn, MI area (in‑home or a mutually agreed location). The position is suitable for practicum students. Overview We are seeking a compassionate, creative, and enthusiastic Behavior Therapist for an 8‑year‑old boy who has diagnoses of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, dyslexia, dyscalculia, and anxiety, and has experienced school‑related trauma that has impacted his self‑esteem. Despite these challenges, he is bright, curious and eager to learn—especially when it comes to science, social studies, and topics such as the Titanic, architecture, and design. Responsibilities Use positive reinforcement and praise‑based strategies Support emotional well‑being and learning differences Create engaging, low‑pressure learning opportunities in reading, math, and writing Help reignite confidence and a love of learning Be a positive role model and nurturing presence Ideal Candidates Students studying Education Special Education Psychology Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) – Practicum opportunity You will receive guidance and mentorship from a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and a certified elementary and special education teacher—a valuable opportunity to grow your skills in a real‑world, supportive environment.
