Tutor (Special Education)

Associate's Degree (or higher), 2 years of college credit OR hold the Parapro certificate (State Board of Education adopted paraprofessional assessment which assesses content knowledge in mathematics, reading and writing and an understanding of how to assist in the instruction of those topics) required . Two years related work experience preferred.


Candidate must have the ability to relate to students, parents, teachers, and staff in a positive and effective manner. Previous experience working with children who have disabilities, including cognitive, emotional, or physical disabilities is preferred. Under the teacher's supervision, will work with individual students or small groups in the classroom setting to reinforce learning material or skills introduced by the teacher.

This is a non-certified union position - 180 days/year. (32.5 hours/week)
