Job Description Job Description Part-Time (Evenings & Weekends) ### **About Javi's Mexican Grill & Tavern** Javi's is Cleveland's premier destination for authentic Mexican cuisine and premium spirits. We are currently expanding our beverage program—home of the signature *Midnight Berry Vodka Drink*—and are looking for a creative, detail-oriented Mixologist to lead our bar into its next chapter of growth. ### **The Role** We aren't just looking for someone to pour drinks; we are looking for a **craftsman**. As our Lead Mixologist, you will be the face of our tavern. You will be responsible for creating seasonal cocktail menus, maintaining a high-energy bar atmosphere, and ensuring every guest receives "proactive, not reactive" service. ### **Key Responsibilities** * **Menu Innovation:** Develop and launch unique, high-margin signature cocktails (Margaritas, Tequila infusions, and seasonal specials). * **Expert Execution:** Prepare hand-crafted syrups, infusions, and fresh garnishes to ensure every drink is a visual and flavor masterpiece. * **Staff Mentorship:** Lead short "Tavern Talks" for our service team on how to describe flavor profiles and upsell premium spirits. * **Inventory Mastery:** Manage bar stock, reduce waste, and ensure we always have the essentials. * **Operational Excellence:** Maintain a spotless, organized bar area and handle high-volume rushes with composure and speed. ### **Qualifications** * **Experience:** Minimum 2-3 years of high-volume bartending or dedicated mixology experience. * **Knowledge:** Deep understanding of spirits (specifically Tequila/Mezcal), flavor balancing, and modern techniques. * **Compliance:** Must be 21+ and hold (or be willing to obtain) a Georgia Alcohol Server Training certificate. * **Soft Skills:** A "proactive" mindset, excellent communication, and the ability to turn a first-time guest into a regular. ### **How to Apply** Drop off a resume in person at our Cleveland location or message us directly here .
