Senior Business Intelligence Data Engineer

Senior Business Intelligence Data Engineer (6 Month Contract) The Senior Business Intelligence Data Enginee r is a key member of our global Data and Analytics team, responsible for maintaining and enhancing our enterprise data warehouse and system integrations. This role involves ingesting new data, building system integrations, and supporting BI reporting development. The ideal candidate will possess a strong data background, collaborate with subject matter experts and business leaders to elevate data-driven decisions, and thrive in a fast-paced environment with a continuous drive to learn. Core Responsibilities: Create and maintain a data warehouse pipeline using Fivetran and Hightouch with Snowflake. Creating and enhancing data integrations between core business systems using Informatica. Experience with quickly learning data structures across diverse application databases. Writing and optimizing complex SQL queries and procedures. Testing and verifying data queries based on business requirements. Scheduling data job tasks during optimum maintenance windows. Architecting optimum data models for BI consumption. Writing data transformations and converting data from one system to another. Designing data solutions that have a global perspective, but can be flexible for regional specific requirements. Working with colleagues across the company to obtain requirements, business logic, and technical details for data and analytical questions. Documenting code changes and implementation in Jira. Maintaining high standards of data quality and integrity. Mentoring team members on data best practices. Presenting solutions to technical and non-technical audiences at all levels of the organization. Working in close collaboration with team members and taking the lead on initiatives. Must be able to work 9-5 EST Skills and Knowledge: 7+ years of SQL development experience. 3+ years of Qlik or comparable BI application experience and syncing data for reporting. Strong proficiency with SQL and its variation among popular database systems Hands-on experience with Informatica is required Experience with Fivetran, Snowflake, Hightouch or other related tools is a plus Hands-on experience optimizing, tuning, and writing complex SQL queries for OLAP environments. Excellent knowledge of database and data warehouse design best practices. Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot data issues and identify solutions. A clear sense of urgency and a desire to learn. Ability to manage communications effectively with global cultures and across multiple time zones. Team player with solid communication and presentation skills.
