Assignment Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Adult Medical Speciality Unit. In this acute care setting, the ideal candidate will have experience handling a variety of patient conditions such as cellulitis, sepsis, and acute respiratory failure. The role primarily involves working with central lines, tracheostomies, and chest tubes.

Assignment Details

• Shift Details: 12-hour Nights, 3x12 shifts
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (Saturday/Sunday for days, Friday/Saturday for nights)
• Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2565 (negotiable)
• Charting System: EPIC

Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients with acute medical conditions
• Work with central lines, tracheostomies, and chest tubes
• Administer and manage Heparin and Lasix drips
• Collaborate with charge RN, PCTs, and other staff for optimal patient care
• Utilize various RT equipment including Bipap and Cpap

Qualifications

Required:

• Active IL license or confirmation of application
• BLS certification
• Experience with central lines, tracheostomies, and chest tubes
• Must pass a negative drug screen
• Ability to work every other weekend

Preferred:

• Experience with EPIC charting system
• Previous travel experience on a MedSurg floor
• Experience in a Level I trauma center
