Litigation Legal Assistant

The Birmingham office of Christian & Small has an opening for a skilled Litigation Legal Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will assist attorneys by performing complex administrative duties that require knowledge of legal terminology and the legal process. Responsibilities Drafting correspondence and typing and formatting legal documents. Opening, organizing, managing, and closing files. Assist attorneys with research and preparation for trials and hearings. Highly proficient in scheduling meetings and managing calendars; and making and/or changing travel arrangements. Perform general administrative tasks. Requirements Minimum of three years' experience in a litigation support role in the practice of Business Services & Commercial Litigation and Real Estate is preferred. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal document management software. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
