Sr. Packaging Engineer

Summary:


Our award-winning client is seeking a Sr. Packaging engineer to join their team. In this critical role, you will play a lead role in our engineering function, managing projects, and driving successful product launches. You will work closely with various teams (Sales and operations) to ensure projects meet all requirements on time, within budget, and exceed performance expectations.

• Manage the entire project lifecycle, from initial customer inquiries and research to successful implementation.
• Utilize analytical modeling and validation to push boundaries and develop high-quality new products.
• Coach, guide, and empower your direct reports, fostering a culture of learning and growth.
• Liaise with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless project execution.
• Ensure all products comply with safety standards and company quality procedures.
• Interface with suppliers, customers, and sub-vendors to identify the best partners for each project (estimated travel 10-15%).

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field (chemistry, packaging engineering, etc.).
• 5-7 years of experience in both manufacturing and customer-facing roles.
• Experience with cost analysis and project ROI assessments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project).
• Pressure-sensitive label industry knowledge is a plus.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
