Retail Service Specialist

Pay Range: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour. The hourly rate will meet or exceed the minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation may include annual or quarterly performance incentives or premiums, which may be paid based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met. The Retail Service Specialist will support the Store Manager and Assistant Managers in sales, customer service, store appearance, and store operations. This position will also assume shift‑management responsibilities in the absence of the Assistant or Store Manager. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers. Supervise customer service levels on the retail showroom, including team member execution on customer service programs such as Related Sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, and Rock the Lot. Ensure the telephone is answered according to company policy. Process buy‑online‐to‑store, hub‑to‑store, and store‑to‑store transfers and DC add orders in a timely manner, contacting customers upon shipment arrival when needed. Handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently and according to procedure, using the electronic outside purchase order ledger. Process retail customer returns and exchanges efficiently, issue refunds accurately using the correct payment methods, and stage returned merchandise in the returns area. Invoice all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, before product leaves the store. Communicate Zipline messages, and delegate Image Maker and merchandising tasks as assigned. Ensure team members adhere to the posted work schedule, obtain approval for changes or deviations, and clock in/out according to company policy. Perform all store opening/closing duties, including day‑end procedures, verifying deposits, preparing bank deposits, ensuring night security lights are on, locking doors, arming or disarming security alarms, and securing delivery vehicles. All other duties as assigned. Qualifications Required: Strong communication skills; ability to obtain RSS Certification. Desired: Retail sales experience, preferably in auto parts; automotive systems and repair knowledge; ASE Certification; fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired).
