Civil Project Engineer

Civil Engineering Design SpecialistSupport and lead civil engineering design efforts for public works and infrastructure projects.Prepare engineering plans and specifications.Perform engineering calculations.Work on bridge and roadway improvements.Perform storm drainage and drainage design.Support water and wastewater projects.Perform site development design, including grading, utilities, roadway layout, and permitting support.Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analysis.Address stormwater management and regulatory compliance requirements.Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and CAD staff.Attend project meetings.Communicate design requirements with clients and regulatory agencies.Conduct field visits and construction observation.Assist with construction administration.Review project submittals.Perform quality control checks and plan reviews.Ensure compliance with design standards, codes, and project requirements.Maintain accurate project documentation.Demonstrated proficiency in Civil Engineering and Civil Engineering Design for public works and infrastructure projects.Experience with highway or bridge design, Stormwater Management, including drainage design, hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, and regulatory compliance.Skills in Site Development, such as grading, utilities, roadway layout, and permitting support.Commitment to Quality Control, including plan reviews, adherence to design standards, and accurate documentation.Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.EIT or PE licensure in Connecticut (or ability to obtain) preferred.Familiarity with relevant design software, including AutoCAD/Civil 3D, stormwater modeling tools, and Microsoft Office.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team setting.Ability to conduct occasional field work, including site visits and construction observation.Must maintain a valid driver's license.
