The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with IBM WebSphere, COBOL, AIX, Linux, and the MTS payments platform, and will be responsible for maintaining application stability, implementing enhancements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.Key Responsibilities:Support, maintain, and enhance applications running on the MTS payments platform.Develop and troubleshoot COBOL programs and batch jobs in a high-volume transaction environment.Manage and deploy applications using IBM WebSphere Application Server.Perform system administration tasks on AIX and Linux servers related to application support.Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and development teams to ensure system reliability and compliance.Participate in incident management and root cause analysis for production issues.Document technical processes, configurations, and procedures.Assist in planning and executing application upgrades and migrations.Monitor application performance and implement tuning strategies.Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).5+ years of experience in application engineering or software development.Strong proficiency in COBOL and experience with legacy systems.Hands-on experience with IBM WebSphere Application Server.Solid understanding of AIX and Linux operating systems.Experience working with the MTS payments platform or similar transaction processing systems.Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Shell, Perl) and job scheduling tools.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.Preferred Qualifications:Experience in financial services or payment processing environments.Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.Familiarity with ITIL processes and service management tools.Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
