Certified Medical Assistant Procedural - Part-time

Certified Medical Assistant Procedural – Part‑time Procedural Certified Medical Assistants are responsible for providing assistance to providers in the direct and indirect care of Practice Management patients. They perform patient or office related duties including but not limited to clinical measurements and data collection, document data and provider‑directed information clearly and accurately in patient records, and function clinically as support staff to providers. Schedule Part‑time / 20 hours per week. Rotating schedule: week #1 – 3 days; week #2 – 2 days. Responsibilities Accepts reassignment, at the direction and discretion of management, as applicable to staffing levels and patient volumes. Administers medication as directed by the provider. Assists providers with patient examinations, treatments, and procedures. Cleans and stocks exam rooms and work spaces regularly to ensure adequate supplies, in adherence to regulatory and system infection control policies. Performs tasks related to stocking and cleaning, including discarding outdated items and labeling multi‑dose vials, and discarding them per guidelines. Cleans and sterilizes equipment and instruments as needed, documenting the tasks in alignment with infection control regulations and system policies. Collects patient data, including heights, weights, vital signs, and other measurements. Documents appropriate data/information and keeps providers aware of patient requests, needs, and observations that may be valuable to provider assessment, care, and follow‑up. Documents responses to patient history/screening questions for use by providers during assessments and examinations. Follows Universal Precautions at all times during contact with patients, equipment, instruments, and/or specimens. Obtains provider initials or signatures on phone message communications to verify accuracy of communicated information. Performs and documents laboratory duties, which may include phlebotomy, specimen collection, and routine basic waived testing. Handles and coordinates reference lab testing, specimens, reports, and corresponding documentation. Performs general clerical duties such as receiving and mailing patient test results, preparing charge tickets, transcribing data to physical or referral forms, filing, and monitoring or ordering supplies. Relays information between provider(s) and client(s), including communications with patients, families, pharmacies, nursing homes, consultancy office staff, insurers, and facilities. At provider instruction, communicates provider advice, instructions, orders, and results, with accurate documentation. Schedules patients for diagnostic, therapeutic, referral, or additional office visits. Requirements High School diploma or equivalent (required). BLS or CPR certification within 90 days of hire. Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or registered Medical Assistant (Registered MA) credentialed. Pay Pay based on experience, starting at $20.59 per hour.
