Job Opportunity: RN Bone Marrow Transplant Donor Coordinator

Our organization in San Antonio is looking for a dedicated RN Bone Marrow Transplant Donor Coordinator to enhance our transplant and hematology teams. This position plays a crucial role in managing the donor workup process, coordinating necessary testing and collection, and providing education to donors and their families regarding procedures and follow-up care.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the donor workup process and ensure all necessary testing and collection activities are coordinated effectively.
• Educate donors and their families about the procedures involved and the importance of follow-up care.
• Collaborate closely with physicians, laboratory personnel, and transplant staff to guarantee safe and timely patient care and accurate documentation.
• Monitor the status of donors throughout the process.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
• Support initiatives aimed at enhancing quality within the organization.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• Experience in transplant or hematology nursing is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively educate and support donors and families.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high standards of care.
