Each and every member of our professional and support staff is dedicated to this ideal - physicians, nurses, technicians and support personnel.Primary ResponsibilitiesPerforms laboratory tests and procedures, which require independent judgment and responsibility with minimal supervision by the lead tech and laboratory supervisorDocuments daily QC and corrective action as neededPerforms calibrations, linearity testing, and proficiency testing as requiredEnters and verifies laboratory results in the LISAssists with the training and orientation of departmental personnelResolves problems with technical testing, and proficiency testing as requiredReviews and evaluates test results and reports for accuracy, precision, readability and consistencyCollects data, prepares reports, and compiles statistics directedChecks supply inventoryAttends required meetings and participates in professional development activitiesMaintains patient confidentialityPerforms related work as requiredYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required QualificationsBS Degree in Medical Technology or related sciences, as approved by the accrediting agenciesNYS Clinical Laboratory Technologist license1+ years of experience as a medical technologistPreferred QualificationsCompletion of a minimum of 90 semester hours in an accredited college which meets the specific requirements for entrance into, and the successful completion of an internship program for medical technology in an accredited institutionASCP or NCATypical Physical DemandsRequires full range of body motion including manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordinationFrequent standing and walking required for extended periods of timeMust be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 30 poundsRequires visual acuity and normal color perceptionWorking ConditionExposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medicinal preparations, and other conditions common to a medical group and laboratory environmentPay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $24.00 to $43.00 per hour based on full-time employment.
