Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiac Med IntermediateThis role involves providing nursing care in a Cardiac Stepdown Unit with the following details:Shift: Nights, 1900-0730Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36 or 48Assignment Length: 16 weeksWeekend Hours: As required, typically every other weekendCall Requirements: NoneApplicants must meet the following qualifications:Licensure: Current RN License eligible for licensure in the state of Missouri or currently licensed in MissouriCertifications: BLS and ACLS from AHA only. NIHSS is preferred.Experience: Minimum of 1 year of Cardiac Stepdown experience required.The Cardiac Med Intermediate Unit includes:Number of Beds: 32Patient Ratios: 1:3-1:4Equipment: Chest tubes, Temp Pacemakers, BipapsEMR: EPICKey responsibilities encompass:Utilizing the nursing process to deliver comprehensive patient care across all age groups, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.Monitoring and coordinating patient care activities with ancillary departments to enhance patient comfort and care.Maintaining patient rights and confidentiality while providing accountable care.Participating as a team player and promoting a positive workplace culture.Physical and mental demands include:Standing and walking for extended periods.Significant bending, stooping, lifting, and turning patients with assistance.Potential exposure to blood and bodily fluids.Ability to handle physical demands such as pushing, pulling, and gripping up to 50 lbs.This position requires a commitment to maintaining professional standards consistent with established nursing practices.
