This full-time contract assignment is situated close to Warrenton, VA and presents the chance to support students in both general education and self-contained classroom settings. You’ll join a collaborative educational community committed to student growth, with a manageable caseload of 14.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification (state requirements must be met)
• Prior teaching experience in high school special education preferred
• Proficiency with both general education integration and self-contained classroom instruction
• Strong communication skills with students, families, and staff
• Ability to develop differentiated lesson plans to accommodate diverse learning styles
• Organizational skills to manage caseload, documentation, and progress records

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver instruction in both general education and self-contained classrooms
• Modify curriculum and develop IEPs tailored to individual student needs
• Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and families
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records and progress notes
• Manage a caseload of 14 students, ensuring each receives proper supports and accommodations
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful learning environment for all students
• Participate in team meetings, IEP conferences, and professional development
