About the Position

Job Title: Certified Sterile Processing Tech Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Sterile Processing Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (09:00 - 17:30) Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Valid state license required Certifications: CRCST certification required Must-Have: - Previous charge experience - Experience with patient ratio Description: Start times are 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday. The candidate must be certified in sterile processing. The role involves proficiency in cleaning and sterilizing a variety of surgical instruments. Candidates should have experience with high-level disinfection and steam sterilization processes. Familiarity with biological indicators, chemical agents for decontamination, and ultrasonic cleaning is preferred. The candidate should be skilled in proper labeling and selection of wrapping materials for sterilization. Strong organizational skills for assembling sets and trays are essential. Experience with endoscopic and laparoscopic equipment is a plus. The candidate will work closely with interdisciplinary teams and maintain compliance with safety standards. Ability to handle various patient age groups, including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics is required. The position may involve collaborating with other departments for effective sterile processing and instrument management. The candidate should have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing tasks effectively.
