Sutter Union High School is seeking a dynamic, student-centered educator to join our award-winning Career Technical Education team as a Business Teacher and FBLA Co-Advisor.
This is an exciting opportunity to teach highly relevant business courses while helping students connect their interests, strengths, and career goals to real-world opportunities.
Our students don't just learn about business-they develop leadership skills, earn industry-recognized credentials, participate in work-based learning experiences, and prepare for college, careers, and entrepreneurship.
SUHS has become a recognized leader in career-connected learning, recently achieving 100% pathway completion for the Class of 2026, a milestone rarely accomplished by comprehensive high schools. Our Business pathway is a vital part of this success and continues to grow through strong community partnerships, innovative instruction, and an active FBLA chapter.
Requirements / Qualifications Comments and Other Information Position Responsibilities
• Teach Business pathway courses, including areas such as:
Business Management
Marketing
Financial Services
Entrepreneurship
Career Readiness and Employability Skills
• Create engaging, project-based learning experiences aligned with industry standards.
• Integrate technology, leadership development, and career exploration into instruction.
• Collaborate with pathway teachers, counselors, industry partners, and
work-based learning coordinators.
• Support students in earning industry certifications and preparing for postsecondary opportunities.
• Serve as FBLA Co-Advisor and assist students with leadership development, conferences,
competitions, and chapter activities.
Preferred Qualifications
• Passion for preparing students for college, careers, and life.
• Experience in business, marketing, finance, entrepreneurship, or related industries.
• Knowledge of Career Technical Education and project-based learning.
• Interest in student leadership organizations such as FBLA.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and community partners.
FBLA Co-Advisor Stipend
An additional stipend is available for serving as Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) Co-Advisor. Our FBLA chapter provides students with opportunities to develop leadership skills, compete at regional, state, and national conferences, and connect classroom learning to future careers.
