About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Endoscopy Duration: 17 weeks Shift: Mid Shift Hours per Shift: 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM Experience: Two (2) years of acute care RN experience License: Registered Nurse Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Epic experience Description: A professional nurse is accountable for the care of a group of patients. The Registered Nurse (RN) focuses on safe, effective patient and family-centered care. Customer satisfaction and quality outcomes are priorities. The RN is responsible for assisting in maintaining a financially stable unit. The RN promotes personal development with an emphasis on evidence-based practice and education. Supervision of licensed and non-licensed staff members is a key responsibility. The RN utilizes the Kristin M. Swanson Model of Care to assess, develop, implement, and evaluate the plan of care. There is a strong emphasis on patient and family comfort, education, and satisfaction. The RN applies their educational and professional experiences in the delivery of quality care. Mentoring and precepting staff is encouraged. Job Responsibilities: Assessment: Performs assessments and reassessments per policy and procedure or as warranted by patient condition. Demonstrates the ability to make sound independent decisions. Development & Implementation: Initiates, prioritizes, and implements the plan of care. Reviews and revises the plan as indicated. Collaboration: Works with patient/family and interdisciplinary services. Utilizes resources appropriately to support the needs of the organization and patient/family. Evaluation: Monitors and documents responses to clinical interventions. Education: Facilitates, coordinates, provides, and evaluates education specific to patient/family needs. This includes care, treatment, and services provided during their stay and at discharge. Leadership: Delegates tasks to licensed and non-licensed personnel. Functions as a mentor/preceptor and encourages teamwork. Identifies and communicates opportunities for improvement. Participates in quality, safety, and service process improvement efforts. Implements practice changes and complies with regulatory standards. Engages in the Practice Governance model.
