Senior Technical Business Analyst (Capital Markets)

Salary: $81,000 - 105,000 per year Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• 10+ years of IT industry experience; related project-team experience and leadership experience are also specified.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies and the full software development lifecycle.
• Strong knowledge of brokerage and trading front- and back-office fundamentals, financial markets, instruments, and trade lifecycles.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills; able to work independently and collaboratively and learn in a fast-paced environment.
• Technical skills in SQL, Python 2.7+, Oracle, SQL Server, XML, FIX and SWIFT message parsing, Agile, and JIRA.
• Knowledge of transaction processing, asset categories, FIX messaging, order management systems such as Flextrade or Fidessa, and brokerage front- and back-office processes is an asset.
• Knowledge of PCF is an advantage.
• Proven ability to collaborate with teams and individuals across an organization to achieve shared goals.

• Serve as the primary liaison among business partners, engineering teams, vendors, and project managers; communicate status to stakeholders.
• Review intake requests, prepare for stakeholder engagement, conduct interviews, and document and validate business, functional, and data requirements.
• Translate requirements into use cases, system diagrams, impact and gap analyses, and delivery-ready user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Identify and coordinate external and cross-functional dependencies; partner with product owners and technical leads to shape solutions.
• Support sprint planning and backlog creation in ADO, create intake initiatives and ServiceNow tickets, maintain backlogs, update boards and documentation, and coordinate sprint readiness.
• Develop test plans, coordinate internal and business-unit testing, and establish training materials and presentations.
• Prepare financial plans, cost models, and quotes; track invoices and vendor spend, validate charges against usage, investigate discrepancies, and support budget monitoring, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Maintain operational documentation, IT service management artifacts, knowledge articles, on-call schedules, escalation procedures, governance trackers, and audit and compliance materials.
• Review ServiceNow queues and unassigned tickets, identify process gaps and improvement opportunities, and communicate day-two support models.
• Prepare weekly activity summaries, consolidate team updates, support quarterly business reviews, produce service performance and trend reports, establish dashboards, and report SLAs and key metrics.
• Build and maintain department documentation sites and product team portal content, including Unified Communications materials.
• Evaluate technology enhancements and vended versus in-house solutions, advise on technology for new products, support business needs during solution development, troubleshoot vendor and in-house support issues, and oversee risk management for vendor applications.
