Anime & Cartoon Drawing InstructorAugusta Parks & Recreation is seeking an enthusiastic and creative Anime & Cartoon Drawing Instructor to lead an engaging six-week art program for youth and teens. The instructor will guide students through the fundamentals of anime and cartoon drawing—covering character design, facial expressions, proportions, and storytelling—while encouraging each participant's unique artistic style.Responsibilities include:Plan and lead weekly 60-minute drawing lessons tailored to ages 9+Teach foundational and intermediate techniques in anime and cartoon artDemonstrate step-by-step drawing methods, shading, and color useEncourage creativity, confidence, and self-expression in a supportive environmentPrepare lesson materials and manage classroom setup and cleanupMaintain attendance and communicate effectively with site staff and parentsEnsure a safe, inclusive, and positive learning atmosphereQualifications include:Experience in drawing, illustration, or animation (anime/cartoon style preferred)Prior teaching or mentoring experience with children or teensStrong communication and organizational skillsAbility to create a fun and engaging class environmentReliability and professionalism in attendance and preparationSchedule & Compensation:Thursdays, 6:00 PM – 7:00 PMOctober 16 – November 20, 2025Compensation commensurate with experience
