Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced CVOR RN for a weekend-focused assignment requiring a minimum of 3 years of recent full-time CVOR circulator experience in a high-volume hospital setting.

Details

• Operating Room setting within a CVOR service line performing cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical procedures
• Cases include coronary artery bypass, valve repair/replacement, aortic dissection, heart transplantation, VAD placement, and may include impella, IABP, or adult ECMO
• TAVR and other endovascular procedures performed in a dedicated endovascular suite
• Thoracic cases include laparoscopic, robot-assisted, and open procedures
• Vascular cases range from ESRD graft/fistula placement/revision to endovascular procedures
• Service line comprised of 4-6 ORs including an endovascular suite, with capacity for four concurrent cardiopulmonary bypass procedures
• Schedule consists of 3 shifts, 0645-1915, covering Sat/Sun plus one weekday (Mon or Tue) based on department need
• Call participation is voluntary due to the weekend-focused nature of this role

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• BLS certification through AHA required
• Minimum of 3 years of recent full-time experience as a CVOR circulator in a high-volume hospital setting required
• Demonstrated proficiency in all aspects of cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures required
• Must be able to function independently in a fast-paced surgical environment without extensive onboarding
• Must provide verifiable references from at least two prior travel assignments confirming no training was needed
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Current license and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start

• Candidates must be able to hit the ground running with minimal orientation
• Radius rule applies, allowing local candidates at a reduced rate depending on facility location
