Utilization Review Coordinator

The full-time remote Florida Licensed Utilization Review Coordinator will manage insurance authorizations for behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment, ensuring timely communication with payers and clinical teams while tracking active cases closely. Key responsibilities Conduct daily phone contacts with insurance companies to secure treatment authorizations Manage a caseload of active authorizations, monitoring timelines that impact patient care Apply knowledge of behavioral health levels of care and ASAM criteria to support authorization requests Required qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred Less than one year of relevant experience; training provided for the right candidate Experience in utilization review, insurance authorization, or behavioral health billing preferred Familiarity with SUD/behavioral health levels of care is a strong plus Knowledge of ASAM criteria and medical necessity standards is a plus
