Staff Accountant - Accounts Receivable

Key Responsibilities • Invoicing and collection of membership dues and other miscellaneous invoices. • Collection and reconciliation of contractor contributions (non-members) • Billing union and non-union members based on contracts, hours and revenue submitted. • Deposit and post cash receipts and credit card payments. • Issue and apply credit memos as necessary. • Prepare and post journal entries in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). • Reconcile bank accounts, credit card reports, and general ledger accounts. • Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities. • Assist with preparing schedules and documentation for annual audit requests. • Collaborate with departments across the organization to resolve accounting questions. • Other duties as assigned. Requirements
Required • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or two to five years of relevant accounting experience.
• Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). • Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite skills.
Preferred • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics UX 365 • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central. • Experience working in a nonprofit, association, or membership organization.
