About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Oncology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 1 year License: Pending License not accepted Certifications: BLS required, OCN preferred Must-Have: Oncology experience required Description: Med Surg/Oncology RN needed for a 3rd Floor unit. Local travelers within 50 miles of the facility will not be eligible for a travel contract. First-timers accepted. Oncology certification is preferred but not required. Years of Med Surg experience preferred. Total staffed beds are 325. Charting system used is EPIC. Patient age groups are adults. Daily census is approximately 26 patients. Interdisciplinary support includes IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, Transportation, and Unit Secretary. Patients will primarily be Oncology and Medical diagnoses. Special equipment includes monitoring for medical telemetry patients through the Central Monitoring Unit. Patient ratios are 5 patients per nurse for days and nights. Weekend coverage is required with four shifts per month or every other weekend. Two references covering one year within the last three years are required. Modules are non-billable and must be completed pre-start and annually.
