Job Summary
Dietitian - Diet Specialty - Location unspecified. This role involves providing quality nutritional care to patients through development, implementation, and monitoring of Medical Nutrition Therapy. The position emphasizes safety, collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, and patient education to ensure optimal nutritional outcomes.

Job Details

• Certifications, Education, and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Food and Nutrition related field, current state licensure or certification if required, current registration by the Commission on Dietetics Registration, and one (1) year of work experience in a facility setting with clinical responsibilities.
• Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Position Responsibilities:
  • Perform nutrition assessments and re-assessments, set nutrition goals, and monitor patient progress.
  • Develop and monitor enteral and/or parenteral nutrition support regimens collaboratively with pharmacy and medical staff.
  • Provide nutrition education and counseling to patients and staff.
  • Attend interdisciplinary team meetings, participate in departmental performance improvement programs, and serve as a resource for evidence-based nutrition practices.
  • Collaborate with food service staff to ensure proper meal planning and menu review.
  • Educate clinical and food service staff on nutrition care plans and standards of quality.
• Additional Information:
  • Embraces safety policies related to patient and employee safety, including safe handling practices.
  • Maintains current professional registration and demonstrates ongoing professional development.
  • Acts as a liaison among the patient, multidisciplinary team, medical staff, and food service.
  • Performs all other duties related to nutrition care as assigned.
