Radiology Tech

Schedule: Day shift weekdays; every 3rd weekend evening shift.

Assignment Details: 1.0 years of experience preferred.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a specialized training program in Radiological Technology approved by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Registered with the ARRT in Radiology.
• Meets the American Heart Association's standards for Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) and renews BLS every two years.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare patients for examinations, explain procedures, and respond to patient questions.
• Perform diagnostic procedures for patients as ordered by physicians.
• Reviews requests and evaluates orders for appropriate exams and diagnoses.
• Explains procedures in understandable terms, ensuring patient comprehension.
• Prepares and positions patients for examinations, determining the proper technique for visualization.
• Operates imaging equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to radiation safety practices.
• Documents patient symptoms, history, and imaging limitations in the system.
