Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to medical-surgical patients in a fast-paced hospital setting. Deliver comprehensive patient care while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' health status and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately following established protocols.
• Perform standard nursing procedures including IV insertions, urinary catheter placement, and central line maintenance.
• Document patient information and interventions in the electronic health record (Meditech).
• Monitor patient progress, implement changes, and communicate updates to the care team.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort through compassionate, patient-centered care.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with a minimum of 1 year of recent acute med/surg experience.
• Demonstrated ability to care for 4-6 patients simultaneously.
• Strong skills in IV therapy, urinary catheter management, and medication administration.
• Preferred experience in ortho, neuro-surgery, or telemetry units.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-focused environment.
• Friendly, positive, and patient-centered personality.
