Job Responsibilities:
1. Maintain accurate and complete student IEP records and conduct IEP’s in accordance with established timelines.

2. Prepares detailed reports on student activities and observations, as required by laws, district policies, and administrative regulations.

3. Establish and enforce rules for behavior and policies and procedures to maintain order among students.

4. Confer with parents, admini strators, program specialist, mental health professionals, social workers, and professionals to develop individual educational plans designed to promote students' educational, physical, functional, and social development.

5. Instruct and modify the curriculum for special-needs student lectures, discussions, and demonstrations in one or more subjects such as English, Mathematics, Social Skills, Life Skills and Career Education.

6. Select, store, order, issue, and inventory classroom equipment, materials, and supplies.
7. Support bus loading and unloading, as appropriate.
8. Participate as a member of the IEP team to develop IEP goals, objectives, adaptations, accommodations, modifications and instructional plans; implement and monitor the IEP.

Minimum Qualifications:

· Valid California Teaching Credentials: 

· Pre K: Education Specialist Instruction Credential--Early Childhood Special Education or

equivalent or currently enrolled in an Early Childhood credentialing program with the ability

to obtain an intern credential. Possession of a valid California Driver’s License. 

· K-12: Education Specialist Instruction Credential—Mild/Moderate Disabilities, Specialist

Credential in Special Education—Learning Handicapped or equivalent or currently enrolled

in a Mild/Moderate credentialing program with the ability to obtain an intern credential. 

· Added Authorization for English Language Authorization (ELA) or CLAD

· Added Authorization for Autism

· Possession of a valid California Driver’s License.
