Staff Engineering Technician - Civil 3D

Job Title: Staff Engineering Technician - Civil 3D Location: Jacksonville, FL Type: Contract Compensation: Contractor Work Model: Onsite – onsite Hours: 40.0 Responsibilities Support engineering and design teams by developing and modifying technical deliverables related to site drainage, grading, and utility plans using Autodesk Civil 3D and Bentley MicroStation. Utilize digital tools and design software (e.g., CAD, BIM, 3D modeling) to create, modify, and maintain technical documentation, drawings, and project deliverables. Apply knowledge of standards, systems, document control, departmental guides, applicable codes, and BV policies and procedures to ensure quality and compliance. Review project requirements and accurately determine the correct format and contents of the required deliverables. Perform design calculations, detailed material quantities, and estimates, and record findings. Support field activities and coordinate with other design group personnel to review and exchange project information necessary for design development. Assist in ensuring deliverables are in compliance with relevant codes and standards. Proactively seek and share knowledge of latest technologies and processes to improve project outcomes. Requirements Minimum of 5 years related work experience in civil engineering or design. Advanced experience with Civil 3D, including use of proposed grading surfaces and plan development. Proficiency with Bentley MicroStation is preferred. Diploma or Certificate required; Associate Degree in Drafting or Engineering Design Related Technology preferred. Strong understanding of engineering principles, standards, and applicable codes. Excellent technical skills in CAD, BIM, and 3D modeling software. Ability to review and interpret design inputs and project requirements accurately. Effective communication and coordination skills for working with multidisciplinary teams.
