Respiratory Unit - Respiratory Therapist - $2030 per week.

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - St. Luke’s Health System and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - St. Luke’s Health System.

Additional Details:

Resume: Each employment history entry must include detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, and teaching facility.

Required Skills/Experience: Must be able to care for adult, pediatric, and NICU patients.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Level II NICU experience preferred. Comfort going to deliveries and initiating CPAP preferred. Pediatric ER experience with stabilized-and-transfer patients preferred.

Special Requests: Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Previous facility employees may be considered only with an exception approved by St. Luke’s Health System. At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job. Submit RTO ahead of time.

Unit Details: Cares for NICU Level IIB, MICU, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients and covers ER and inpatient floors. Responsibilities include ABGs (radial or brachial), respiratory treatments, PACU treatments, overnight oximetry, and managing respiratory equipment. Assists with intubation only. Uses Epic, Drager V500, Hamilton, ReVel, V60s, Vapotherm, and EPOC. Intensivists, hospitalists, anesthesia, and eICU support are available at night.

Shift & Scheduling: Self-scheduling; travelers sign up last and are expected to stay flexible to fill permanent staff gaps. May be asked to trade shifts with staff. Every other weekend for nights (Friday and Saturday). May be asked to participate in holiday rotation. Optional call/standby with a 30-minute response time.

Floating Requirements: First to float. Must be comfortable floating between ICU, MICU, MS-Tele, ER, and other specialties. Can float throughout the hospital and may float mid-shift. May be asked to float to sister facilities in Nampa and Boise with a minimum 60 minutes heads-up prior to the shift.

14 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 3 years

Driver’s license required for submission
