Role Description The Restaurant Manager at The Rectory Detroit is responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring smooth service, and maintaining high standards of food quality, cleanliness, and guest experience. This full-time, on-site role in Detroit, MI includes supervising staff, creating schedules, supporting hiring and training, and coaching team members to deliver excellent service. The Restaurant Manager monitors inventory, coordinates with kitchen and bar teams, assists with ordering, and works to control costs while meeting revenue goals. The role also involves handling guest feedback, addressing operational issues quickly, and maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations. The Restaurant Manager is expected to lead by example on the floor, support a positive work environment, and help build long-term relationships with guests and the local community. Qualifications Strong customer-facing skills, including Customer Service and a focus on Customer Satisfaction. Experience in recruitment and team leadership, including Hiring and performance coaching. Clear and professional Communication skills for working with staff, guests, and vendors. Knowledge of Food & Beverage operations, including menu execution, quality control, and basic cost management. Previous supervisory or management experience in restaurants or hospitality. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Understanding of health, safety, and sanitation standards in a restaurant environment.
