Overview Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A., a national, multi-office defense litigation law firm, is seeking experienced attorneys with a portable book of business to join our New York team in our New York City office. Practice areas include Professional Liability Defense, Medical Malpractice, Long Term Care Malpractice, Architects and Engineers defense, Legal Malpractice, Employment Litigation, General Liability defense, Insurance Defense, First Party Insurance defense, Commercial Litigation and Workers’ Compensation defense. The ideal candidate will have experience in all phases of litigation including creating defense strategy, client communication and reporting, conducting investigations, taking and defending depositions, managing motion practice and trial. Litigation experience is a plus, but we are open to training the right candidate. Qualifications Admitted to practice in the State of New York 2+ years of insurance defense experience Mediation, arbitration and trial experience, first or second chair Analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent research abilities and written and oral communication skills Book of business is a plus, but not mandatory Requirements Draft discovery and respond to discovery Draft and respond to discovery-related motions Regularly attend court appearances Take and defend depositions of fact witnesses and expert witnesses Draft motions for summary judgment Ability to proactively manage docket Excellent customer service and communication skills What We Offer Excellent benefits including 401K match Exceptional growth and advancement opportunities Competitive salary and training/mentoring programs The pay range for this position in New York, NY is $50,000 to $130,000 annually dependent upon experience. #J-18808-Ljbffr Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A.
