American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Atlanta, Georgia.Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 07/20/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: TravelAssignment Overview Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs Hours: 36 hrs/wk Start Date: Jul 20, 2026 Length: 13 weeks Openings: 1DescriptionAmerican Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position on a Surgical ACE unit at a high-acuity Level 1 trauma center, requiring proven experience in high-volume, fast-paced trauma environments.Details 32-bed Surgical ACE unit (5A) within a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center Adult and older adult patient population Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5 Trauma patients managed alongside Heparin drips and other acute medications Specialty equipment includes gait belts, geriatric chairs, and PT equipment Epic EMR used Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week Block scheduling is not approved on most units Travelers are expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month No on-call requirementsRequirements Active RN license - Georgia (GA) or Compact license required Current BLS and ACLS certifications required Documented Med/Surg Telemetry experience required Proven experience in high-pressure, high-volume trauma environments with complex and diverse cases Candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered Epic EMR experience requiredAdditional Information No RTO (time off requests) will be approved for this assignment Experience with skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or NICHE (Nurses Improving Care for Healthsystem Elders) training is a plus Local candidates are accepted for this position A completed skills checklist matching the Med/Surg Telemetry specialty is required for considerationAmerican Traveler Job ID #P-726337.
