Primary Responsibilities Include:

• Conducts psycho-educational, process, support groups, and provides individual counseling as needed/qualified.
• Participates as a team member in planning treatment programs.
• Collaborates in the treatment planning process.
• Develops cooperative relationships with volunteers and service organizations to expand programming opportunities for patients.
• Maintains timely, accurate and thorough clinical records and documentation.
• Provides input regarding the clinical needs of patients.
• Establishes therapeutic relationships with patients that are beneficial to their treatment.
• Counsels patients individually and in group sessions to assist them in dealing with behavioral health problems and social issues.
• Collaborates with TCs, physicians/NPs and nurses to plan and coordinate treatment based on patients' needs. Also utilizes the clinical record as a source of information.
• Educates the patients on alternative healthy ways of coping with problematic events and emotions.
• Completes all required documentation according to policies and procedures, and ensures that daily clinical notes document the patients' progress in meeting their treatment goals.
• Promotes exceptional customer service throughout the program.
• Facilitates active patient participation in the treatment process.
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Associates degree or equivalent in Human Services
• Masters is preferred
• Initial License or certification preferred
• Experience providing mental health, eating disorders and/or substance abuse treatment services is preferred
