Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing interventions, plans of care, and patient goals in the Emergency Department setting
• Provide patient care in accordance with standards of care, protocols, and established policies and procedures, including triage, pain assessment, and medication administration
• Perform accurate and timely identification of cardiac arrhythmias and interpret arterial blood gases, pulse oximetry, and clinical features of impaired gas exchange
• Initiate safety plans and complete mandated reporting for domestic violence, child and elder abuse, stabbings, gunshot wounds, burns, and sexual assault cases per policy
• Safely administer vasoactive medications and manage intubated patients, including suctioning, troubleshooting, and weaning
• Provide thorough, timely, and accurate documentation of all patient data, therapeutic interventions, and patient responses

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing (ASN) required
• Current Massachusetts RN license required
• ACLS (AHA) upon hire, or active BLS with ACLS obtained within 60 days of hire
• AHA PALS required within six (6) months of hire
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills with the ability to function independently in an Emergency Department environment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• 3–5 years of Emergency Department experience preferred
• TNCC, ENPC, and/or CEN certification preferred
