Registered Nurse (RN) - Surgery $15,000 Sign-On Bonus for Day Shift with a 2-year commitment Schedule: Full-Time, Days. Our surgical department is made up of a 14‑bed pre‑op unit, a 4‑bay PACU and 6 operating rooms. With dedicated surgeons, nurses and OR assistants, you will gain experience in areas such as general surgery, OB/GYN, orthopaedic/ sports medicine, ENT, urology, bronchoscopies, dental extractions and paediatric dental restorations. How you’ll contribute Accurately perform patient assessments and identify patient needs Identify and initiate appropriate nursing interventions Provide care appropriate to the condition and age of the patient Perform timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record Be responsible for the completion and revision of the interdisciplinary care plan for each patient Perform timely and accurate QI assessments Why join us We believe that investing in our employees is the first step to providing excellent patient care. What we’re looking for Applicants should have a current North Carolina or compact state Registered Nurse licence and possess an associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include: American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire. American Heart Association ACLS and PALS certification required within six months of hire. One year of experience preferred. Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
