Registered Nurse – Comprehensive Medical Unit (Med-Surg)

Contract | Days (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) | 36 Hours/Week | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Comprehensive Medical-Surgical unit with a primary focus on general medical patients
• Float as needed between related units including Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, Observation, and ED/Med-Surg boarder areas
• Monitor and interpret telemetry readings, responding appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Document all patient care activities accurately and efficiently using Epic EMR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Ohio or compact eligibility
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Minimum 3 years of current and recent Telemetry and/or Step-Down nursing experience
• Demonstrated ability to independently read and interpret telemetry (competency will be assessed on day one)
• Proficiency in Epic EMR is required prior to start — no on-site refresher training or one-on-one orientation for Epic will be provided

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience floating across multiple Med-Surg specialty units (e.g., Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, Observation)
• Strong clinical assessment skills with the ability to manage a diverse and acutely ill patient population
