General Cardiology Opening in NVLocated in Carson City, NVBE/BCFull-time; Permanent positionOverviewProvides professional medical services for patients within the standard of care in the specialty the Physician is board certified or board eligible to provideOrders appropriate laboratory tests, radiology tests, prescribes pharmaceuticals, and provides treatment options to patients using best judgement of medical decision-makingAnalyzes the results of ordered tests and provides treatments for follow-up care as neededInitiates and facilitates patient referrals to other physicians, clinics and health care facilities, using clinic/ hospital procedures and completes appropriate paperworkEnsures all medical documentation, orders and prescriptions must go through the electronic health record (EHR)Performs any procedures consistent with standard care in the specialty of the PhysicianCompletes documentation and signs off on patient charts within two business days of the time of serviceResponds to patient portal messages within two business daysParticipates in meetings during non-patient contact hours as requested by administrationParticipates in clinic and hospital call as agreed upon by administration and other clinic providersIs responsible for finding coverage for working personal in-basket in the EHR when on leaveMay supervise/collaborate with one or more Advanced Practice CliniciansPerforms other related duties as assignedAbout the areaCarson City, NV is located in the western region of Nevada, specifically in Eagle Valley, near the eastern foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountain rangeIt is approximately 30 miles south of Reno and about 15 miles southeast of Lake Tahoe Carson City offers a rich blend of history, outdoor activities, and cultural experiences
