Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos. Write simple correspondence. Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uncomplicated written or oral instructions. Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 45 pounds, and occasionally up to 60 pounds. Basic PC/Outlook skills (extra awesome). Retail Management Certificate (extra awesome). The Opportunity The Part‑time Retail Associate performs management‑assigned duties, which may include but are not limited to stocking and maintaining a store section, carry‑out services, and store cleaning.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintain a store section as assigned and stock merchandise using proper equipment (excluding power/heavy equipment). Ensure proper pricing on merchandise, check product date codes to validate proper rotation, and stock shelves, end displays, floor stacks, displays, and refrigerated/frozen cases. Prepare perishable products for sale as needed. Set up advertising/promotional displays. Cleans and maintains sanitation standards in all interior and exterior areas of store and parking lot as directed by store management. Offer friendly, knowledgeable, efficient and courteous assistance to customers by providing them with current store and product information. When requested, load customer purchases by assisting customers to their vehicles. Perform basic bookkeeping duties, including recording lost/damaged goods and store supplies using appropriate tools.
