Senior Fire Sprinkler Service Technician

Fire Sprinkler Service Technician Job Family: Buildings Req ID: 507642 Position Location: San Diego, CA – supports customers throughout greater San Diego area. Responsibilities Install, repair, and maintain wet, dry, pre‑action, and deluge fire sprinkler systems, stands, backflow preventers, fire hydrants, and fire pumps. Perform inspections and testing of fire sprinkler systems and other water‑based equipment. Document deficiencies and impairments during inspections or service work, and report them in accordance with required processes. Adhere to local, corporate, and OSHA safety policies and procedures. Maintain complete and accurate documentation of all work performed. Maintain vehicle, tools, and equipment in accordance with corporate policies related to vehicle use and care. Basic Qualifications 1–3+ years of experience installing and/or repairing water‑based equipment. Ability and willingness to work in a variety of environments around mechanical equipment, including climbing ladders, scaffolds, high‑lift equipment, working in ducts, above ceilings, and in outside/inside/heat/cold/day/night conditions; use of hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, tablet; carrying and moving equipment and tools weighing up to 50 lb unassisted. Must be 18 years old and possess a valid driver’s license with limited violations; must meet eligibility for Siemens’ fleet vehicle program. Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship. Preferred Qualifications 5+ years of experience with installation and repair of water‑based equipment. NICET I – Water Based Systems certification within 6–12 months of hire. High school diploma, state‑recognized GED, associate, or bachelor’s degree preferred. Benefits Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits.
