Position: Medical Assistant

Location: Athens County, OH

Salary: $19.00 to $22.26 per hour, based on experience.

Essential Functions

• Performs initial intake and documents basic patient medical data.
• Coordinates and expedites scheduling with the central reception center.
• Staffs the reception area at the local service site.
• Manages electronic health record, authorizations, and insurance reporting.
• Interfaces with local pharmacies and online management groups.
• Maintains the reception area safe, clean, and in good order.
• Facilitates patient referrals across health and human service systems.
• Participates in a collaborative model for integrated community health care.
• Meets all revenue and other established quality requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• Certified medical assistant.
• Experience with multi‑need people and families.
• Broad knowledge of community health and human service systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in web‑based electronic health records and other data environments.
