Job Summary
Registered Nurse, Intensive Care Unit Indianapolis, Indiana. The registered nurse will provide care for critically ill patients in a 30-bed intensive care unit, including patients with sepsis, respiratory failure, substance use disorders, endocrine disorders, and psychiatric disorders. The role requires comprehensive assessment skills and experience caring for mechanically ventilated patients with hemodynamic monitoring devices.
Job Details
- Schedule: Day shifts, 12 hours per shift, 36 hours per week, with an every-other-weekend commitment.
- Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse with at least 2 years of experience, including intensive care experience; comprehensive assessment skills; experience caring for septic patients and mechanically ventilated patients with hemodynamic monitoring devices; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT).
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: The patient population includes sepsis, respiratory failure, substance use disorders, endocrine disorders, and psychiatric disorders. The role requires a collaborative, positive, flexible, and empathetic approach. Navy scrubs are required. Orientation includes first-day learning modules, training on the electronic medical record system if needed, and one day of unit orientation.
