Staff Accountant
Vangst
Vangst is partnering with a growing cannabis operator in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area to find a Staff Accountant to join its finance team. This is a hands-on, in-office role centered on accounts receivable, with support across accounts payable and the monthly close. It's a good fit for someone who enjoys steady, detail-driven work and wants to be part of an established, growing company.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Accounts Receivable Apply customer payments accurately and on time Monitor AR aging and follow up on past-due balances Reconcile customer accounts and keep AR records current in QuickBooks Online Accounts Payable Support Process vendor invoices and assist with vendor management Support expense reimbursements Month-End Close & General Ledger Prepare journal entries and assist with general ledger maintenance Complete account reconciliations and support the monthly close processWHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
At least 1 year of experience in accounts receivable, collections, or a related accounting role Working knowledge of QuickBooks, NetSuite, or SAP Comfort with AP and month-end close tasks, in addition to AR Strong attention to detail and solid reconciliation skills Clear communication and a dependable, steady work style Interest in the cannabis industry is a plusSCHEDULE & WORK ENVIRONMENT
